Privacy & enquiries
Updated 4 October 2026. This is a personal website about No. 13 Albert Terrace, Edinburgh EH10 5EA, and its sale. Nick, the owner, is responsible for the enquiries collected here.
Contact and choices
To ask about your information, contact Nick through the privacy request form below, or write to the owner at the property address above. You do not need to express an interest in buying the house to make a privacy request.
What is collected and why
The form asks for your name, email, town or region, reason for interest and the part of the property of interest. Phone number and additional message are optional. Please avoid sending identity documents, financial information or sensitive personal details.
This information is used to read and respond to your enquiry and manage correspondence about the sale. It is not collected for advertising lists or sold to other organisations. Where UK data protection law applies, the basis is the owner’s legitimate interest in handling enquiries about the property, balanced against your privacy and reasonable expectations.
Storage and sharing
Enquiries are stored in the site’s database and accessed through a protected administration page. A notification email to the owner includes the details you submit, together with the enquiry reference and a link to the administration page. A copy is therefore also held in the owner’s email account. Service providers supporting hosting, email and security may process information needed to provide those services. Cloudflare handles website traffic, which includes technical information such as IP addresses.
If your enquiry needs the selling agent’s involvement, relevant details may be shared with Rettie to deal with your request. Correspondence you send directly to Rettie is covered by their own privacy notice. There is no automatic forwarding of this form to Rettie.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information will be reviewed at least annually and deleted when no longer needed for the sale or related correspondence. The aim is to delete routine enquiries within 12 months after the sale completes. Information needed for an ongoing matter or a legal obligation may be retained for longer. Deletion includes relevant correspondence and backup copies as their retention periods expire.
Your information
You can ask to see or correct your information, request deletion, or object to its use. Where applicable, UK data protection law also provides rights to restrict processing and, in some circumstances, portability. Requests are considered in light of any continuing need to keep the information. You may raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Video, cookies and external links
The site does not add advertising or analytics trackers. The video player is loaded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain only when you choose to play it. Playback connects your browser to Google/YouTube, which may process device and usage information and use browser storage under its privacy policy. You can browse the house without playing the film.
Admin sign-in uses an essential session cookie lasting up to eight hours. Security infrastructure may also use necessary cookies. Page typography is supplied by Google Fonts, so loading a page makes a request to Google that includes technical connection information such as your IP address. Links to Rettie, YouTube and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy arrangements.
